简介：Currently Dr. Quan is the president of Institute of Advanced Drug Technology IIADDT) - the sixteenth institute of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI), and the chief scientific officer of Xel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Quan received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Hoshi University, Tokyo Japan and was the dermatology fellow of the post-doctoral research in School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. She has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industries, and her expertise fields include transdermal drug delivery, topical and dermatologic drug delivery, nanoparticles for drug delivery and fast-dissolving drug delivery systems. Before cofounding of Xel Pharmaceuticals, she was the director of Transdermal Research of Watson Pharmaceuticals (now Teva), and the key inventor for dozens of leading commercial transdermal and topical products. Since joining Xel, Dr. Quan continued her R&D focuses on novel drug delivery systems, and committed to apply the advanced drug delivery technologies to natural compounds, functional nutrition, and functional skincare products, which provide the novel technology platform to these areas. Dr. Quan was the recipient of the US-China Science Achievement Award by China Association for Science and Technology - USA. Her research project "Innovative Transdermal Drug Delivery System for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease" was granted by China 863 program and US NIH funding. She is an adjunct professor at two US universities and China Pharmaceutical University, the member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Transdermal Magazine and five international professional association. Dr. Quan has 20 US & international patents, 30 publications, 2 books / chapters, more than 50 conference presentations and invited speeches in US, Japan and China.

Dr. Zhixuan Wang Integrated CMC New Product Production

Introduction: Dr. Zhixuan Wang is as project CMC operation management role in Integrated CMC New Product Production department at . She Holds Master degree from Peking University and Ph. D. from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. She started her career in drug product development in North China Pharmaceutical Group Corporation. In 2006 she joined in Chinese Academy of Sciences and working on transdermal drug delivery system research work. In 2007, she joined Novartis China as Senior Scientist in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Profiling. Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research Co., Ltd, and followed GSK R&D China in 2011. Zhixuan has worked on a wide variety of Discovery & Development projects, her role includes compound developability assessment, physical form selection, formulation development, drug product manufacture and supply, CTA/NDA submission and launch. She is also involved in Innovative drug delivery system research and development for NCEs. Dr. Wang has published ~ 30 papers and patents. Zhixuan has contributed chapters to “Liposome Technology” and “Novel technologies of microencapsulation and the application in DDS”.
